Daniels Music Foundation

Daniel’s Music Foundation (DMF) is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through music and self-expression. They needed a website that could match the heart of their mission, and keep up with their ever-expanding programming. One that reflected their growth, impact, and deep commitment to inclusivity.

Objectives.

Give their site a glow-up for this century. Create an inclusive design system that’s beautiful, functional, and fully accessible. Inject interactions with DMF’s personality that without compromising usability. Connect with every audience—students, families, Danny Awards participants. Keep pace with a rapidly growing org. Organize their program offerings. Drive class sign-ups (free, but critical). And ultimately, drive donations.

To name a few...

Unique challenges.

This wasn’t just a redesign, we also helped shape their offerings, rethink of how their programs and classes were organized. Before, signing up for classes was confusing. DMF’s goal was simple: make it easy for visitors to find the right program, get the info, and sign up.

The challenge was restructuring everything they offered into clear entry points and sign-up flows. We needed to account for all program types, like group lessons, private lessons, school programs, online events, the Disability Awareness Program offerings for schools, corporations and more. So we designed a single system that could account for it all, and scale for future program growth.

Results.

After launching their new site, DMF saw a 37% year-over-year increase in donations. More than numbers though, this project proved a point. That creating digitally inclusive experiences doesn’t kill good design and engineering, it fuels it. When done right, accessibility is the unlock for scalable, beautiful, smart digital experiences.
